What personal information does the App collect?
Short answer: none.
Only the GPS position of the device is uploaded. We do not even know if the device is in
possession
of a person, and if it is, we don't access or know any personal identifying information.
So if the device is in
possession
of a person we don't know anything about that person, not their name, not their phone number, nada.
The website also does not ask for person information beyond an email login and a text label assigned to
the device. The text label can be any alphanumberic string.
When do we collect GPS positions?
Only when the app is enabled and within the optional schedule.
Obviously if locations are disabled on the device then GPS positions are not available to the app.
How do we use the GPS positions?
If your organization has given you a registration code then GPS data is
available to your organization via the website.
If you created your registration code then you are considered the organization and
the data is displayed to you when you use the website.
How do we protect your information?
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only
accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to
such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In
addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted via Secure
Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
Passwords are sent and stored encrypted, and are completely unknown to us.
Third-party disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any of your data.
Third-party links
We do not include or offer third-party products or services on our website.
Data Retention and Deletion
All GPS data older than one month is deleted unless an agreement to retain
data for a longer period of time is agreed upon.
User account login data is deleted upon request.
Users can delete their device data, including GPS data, using the web interface.
Data Breach
Should a data breach occur we will notify you or your organization via email,
within 24 hours of our awareness of the breach.
